Fairyland Crabb

MelanieHello again,

Second to last in the Crabb family is Mackenna, who is 8 years old and, like I've said earlier is at that short lived but blissful none the less state of believing that life is a fairy tale with her being a princess!! All she is lacking is the horse, which she asks for every birthday and every Christmas! But, like I said she is 8 and so will soon be coming out of this lovely, delusional stage and will start demanding better and more realistic things!! So, for now, we are enjoying her innocence and her ever willingness to help anyone when asked!

She loves animals and drawing and is generally always in a good mood. She is mother hen to the somewhat cold and elusive Callum and the ever vibrant, springy and annoying Harrison! She deals really well with that balance considering Harry pushes her to the point of no return most days!!

She is so excited to be going on holiday and has been packing bits for weeks, bless her!

I love her innocence and I wish it was more contagious in this house, in a family fraught with irate and up and down personalities she is a refreshing presence. I know that this will all start changing in a few years time and chuckle to myself at the parents who have yet to go through adolescence thinking their child will stay the same! Little do they know that they will have to book bathroom time and plan any sort of decent conversation around their 'cycles', presuming they still get a couple of rational days that is!

She has my penchant for shoes and can quite often be seen singing away to herself wearing an amazing pair of heels that she has managed to plunder form one of our rooms! So, even though she is out with the fairies at this point in her life, she still makes sure she looks good!

All this said, she is a lovely natured girl and one of my least demanding children.......thank goodness!

Please join me again tomorrow for the last installment of the Crabb personality inventory and boy oh boy he's a personality!!

See you then,

Melanie
