I have just returned
from the dreaded school open evening for Mackenna and Harrison, and
was pleasantly surprised. Not so much by Mackenna, because she is
so enthusiastic about school and tries so hard. No, it was more
with regard to little Harry. I was fully expecting to go in full of
apologies for him, but was completely gob-smacked when his teacher
said he was quiet and well behaved most of the time. I did try to
not look obviously shocked, though I was briefly speechless, but
nodded appropriately! This goes to show he can do it, so, needless
to say, we are going to have a little chat about that. However,
call me cynical, but a little piece of me is thinking that, as the
appointment was quite late in the day, she could possibly have been
delusional at the time. Bless him, though. And there's still
his favourite activity tomorrow after school...church!
