Walking Pains!

walking painsWe received our first rents off of the girls this Saturday and I still can't quite believe it! It went much better than I'd anticipated. Colby asked whether she could pay double next week as she had her eye on a particular dress but when I refused she took it quite well. Madison only made a 'joke' comment that now she is paying rent perhaps the fridge would contain more food! I had to bite my tongue and suggested she try to feed herself for a week on £5 let alone pay for a roof over her head etc. I think she might get a shock when she ventures into the 'real world'.

As you know I started my grueling keep fit regime last week and am still trying to stick to it. Last week I met my friend and we walked for over an hour and a half after work. Whilst I enjoyed it at the time, come the evening my muscles were really feeling the strain and the next day I practically had to crawl out of bed. I comforted myself by thinking I would sit and go through the children's spellings at work that day as I can sit for most of the morning testing each child's respective spellings individually however, my plans went to pot as no sooner had I walked into work and the teacher told me it was our class's turn to walk down to the local superstore and spend the morning walking round the shop looking for the country of origin of particular products. I was gutted, but consoled myself that at least it would help with my weight loss programme! And imagine my delight when I discovered we had to return to the supermarket the following day. By then my walking had turned into somewhat of a stagger and I found myself leaning on quite a few of the food counters to rest my weary limbs! By the middle of the week I felt like I had been run over by a bus and was sporting an unkempt, frizzy (from walking two days in the rain and drizzle) peculiarly flat on one side poor excuse of a hairstyle but quite frankly I didn't care - it was enough that I could string a full sentences together!

Consequently, I have not been on the Wii board this week...
