Local Businesses Get Behind Wirral Food and Drink Festival - 29th and 30th August
Two Wirral based businesses are set to take centre stage at this years Wirral Food and Drink Festival
Typhoo, whose
head office is in Moreton, and Hoylake based Candis, have been
unveiled as sponsors of the popular event which takes place over
the Bank Holiday weekend in August.
Now in its 5th Year. Wirral Food and Drink Festival has grown to become one of the regions biggest food events. The festival, which takes place at Claremont Farm, Spital, attracts over 100 leading producers and champions great food and locally grown produce.
Organiser, farmer Andrew Pimbley commented, 'we are delighted to have Typhoo and Candis on board as sponsors this year. The event is a non-profit making exercise, really designed to help sustain the farm and promote local produce. Commercial sponsors really help us to keep the festival going, ensure its quality and allow us to add new attractions each year.'
The two-day
event has a packed schedule of chef demos, live music,
children's entertainment and quirky shows, as well as a host of
mouth-watering produce.
Stacey Moore, Marketing Executive at Typhoo said that the whole team were delighted to be involved.' As a 'Made in Merseyside' brand, its great to align our brand to an event that has such a commendable ethos.
Andrew Douglas, Chairman of Hoylake based publishing giants
Newhall Publications, who run the UK wide Candis magazine agreed,
'There is an excellent fit between the festivals core values
and our ethos as a family and health related publication. We have
been based on the Wirral since the company began, so are delighted
to be lending our support to such a prestigious local event.'
