PUBLISHERS SHORTLISTED FOR TOP AWARD

Newhall Publications Ltd, the company behind best-selling women's magazine, Candis, receives recognition for its innovative new website and online marketing campaign

Having received over 4.2 million hits since its launch in September 2008, and with a big presence on Facebook and Twitter, it's no surprise that Newhall Publication Ltd's flagship website, www.candis.co.uk, is in the running to receive a marketing excellence award from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).

The company, based in Hoylake, Wirral, publishes the UK's seventh biggest selling women's monthly magazine, Candis, and has been in operation since 1962. Its web marketing team have been shortlisted in the SME category, going head to head with five other companies.

Jayne Kennedy, web marketing manager at Candis, said, "We're delighted to be nominated for such a prestigious award, created by one of the main marketing bodies, the Chartered Institute of Marketing. This is the first year for the CIM marketing excellence awards, which were created to highlight the fundamental role marketing plays in business and will celebrate the best marketing achievements across numerous sectors.

Winners will be announced at an exclusive black tie event on 17 February 2010 at the Grange St Pauls Hotel, London.
