The National Brain Appeal
What they do:
Raise funds for the National Hospital of Neurology and Neurosurgery in London, which is one of the world’s leading centres for the diagnosis, treatment and care of conditions including multiple sclerosis, brain cancer, epilepsy and stroke.
Candis Big Give project:
To purchase a clinical workstation used to help plan surgical procedures. Doctors will use the computers to plan how they will undertake an operation before they start so they can avoid some of the most sensitive areas of the brain, making surgery safer to carry out. The workstation will be used at the new Neuro Imaging Analysis Centre, which is designed to dramatically reduce waiting times and improve patient care.
