She has endured a reputation as a diva but, as TIFFANY ROSE discovers, the charming and hard-working Jennifer Lopez is far too determined and proud of her success to let the title bother her
When some actresses walk
into a room, there is a moment when everyone pauses. Jennifer Lopez
- sex siren, chart-topping pop star, fashionista and model - is one
of them.
Radiating happiness, Jennifer permeates high-octane glamour
everywhere she goes. With those doe-like eyes, flawless cinnamon
skin and honey-highlighted hair, she's breathtakingly gorgeous.
And there's a reason for her glow.
After nearly a four-year absence from the spotlight, the
40-year-old actress is blissful in her role as mum to twins, Emme
and Max, 2, by her third husband, Marc Anthony. Formerly known as
J.Lo, Jennifer became a mum at the age of 38.
"I've always wanted to become a mother, especially coming
from a very tight family unit," she says. "I was lucky, I
had a happy childhood with great parents and a great grandmother. I
had the extended family thing going on with aunts and cousins
always coming over as we lived in the same neighborhood. I want
that for my life."
Motherhood is the icing on the cake for Jennifer. "There's
nothing as huge as giving birth to another human being and being
responsible for another life. There's you before the kids and
there's you after the kids and they're not the same
you."
