From his humble
beginnings as a welder, Len Goodman, 64, has risen to become a star
on both sides of the Atlantic. After taking up ballroom dancing to
strengthen his bones, Len won the British Championships and now
runs two dance schools. He is also a judge on Strictly Come
Dancing and Dancing with the Stars. His
autobiography, Better Late Than Never, is on sale now.
Q What is your earliest memory?
Falling down the stairs. I was two and I was pushed by my cousin, Eddie. And no, I wasn't dancing at the top of them at the time!
Q Who's had the biggest impact on your life?
My father. He gave me great advice and strong values. He always said, 'Do what you want to do, but do it well. Be proud of what you do. And that applies to whether you're painting a toilet door, or the door of Number 10.'
