40: 40] sts up right front neck, 7 sts down side of back neck,
13 [13: 13: 13: 15: 15] sts from back neck, 7 sts up side of
back neck, 36 [36: 38: 38: 40: 40] sts down left front neck and
75 [79: 77: 79: 77: 81] sts down left front.
249 [257: 257: 261: 263: 271] sts.
Beg with Row 2, work 2 rows in rib as given for back.
Next Row (WS): Rib 2 [2: 3: 2: 3: 3], cast off 2
sts, * rib
14 [15: 14: 15: 14:15], cast off 2sts, rep from * 4 times, rib to
end.
Next row: Rib to end casting on 2 sts over cast
off sts of
button hole row.
Next row: Rib 148 [152: 152: 154: 156: 160], wrap
next st
(by slipping next st from left needle to right needle, taking
yarn to opposite side of work between needles and then
slipping st back onto left needle, when working this st on foll
rows - work tog the loop and the wrapped st), turn.
Next row: Rib 33, wrap next st and turn.
Next row: Rib 36, wrap next st and turn.
Next row: Rib 39, wrap next st and turn.
Cont as set working 3 extra sts before each wrap st on every
row until the following row has been worked;
Next row: Rib 99, wrap next st and turn.

Work a further 2 rows across all sts.

Pockets
Using 6mm (US 10) needles cast on 19 sts.
Starting with a K row cont in st st for 12.5cm ending with
RS facing for next row.
Starting with row 1 of rib as set for back work 5 rows in rib.
Cast off in rib.
Using photograph as a guide attach pockets.
Sew on buttons.
