Parents looking to improve their family life should encourage their children to exercise and keep active, according to one expert, who said doing that can bring the whole brood together.
Joanna Knight, editor at Women's Fitness, said that using exercise DVDs are a great way for adults to get active but said they should also get the kids involved.
"Getting kids active is important too, so making time for weekly walks together or encouraging active family days is a good first step," she stated.
The expert added that exercise DVDs often come in easy-to-break-down sections, offering workouts of all durations and intensities, so you can do whatever you can fit in the time you have.
It is too late to give advice to young people when they are just about to leave school, according to Dr Pat Spungin, founder of the parental advice site, raisingkids.co.uk, who said they need help planning their next move while still in education.
