Davina McCall: Too much telly is bad for kids

People looking for parental advice could take some from Big Brother presenter Davina McCall, who said that she keeps her children's telly watching to under an hour and a half per day.

The presenter said that children who watch too much telly behave differently to kids who do not and admitted to feeling guilty for allowing them to watch an hour after dinner.

"I only let them watch 15 minutes in the morning, and an hour after dinner, if I'm honest, I feel bad about that hour. It's not good for kids to watch telly. It definitely affects their behaviour," she said.

The face of L'Oreal added that life inside the Big Brother house also changes people's behaviour dramatically and can result in very positive personal journeys.

Holidays are a part of family life which people are not prepared to part with, even during the economic downturn, according to a spokesperson for Thomson and First Choice.
