The Thames offers great family holidays
People thinking about adding a holiday to their family life calendar should think about taking a trip down to London and get onto the Thames, according to one expert, who said the river has a lot to offer visitors.
Chris Clark, co-proprietor of Kris Cruisers, said that the river winds through London and out into impressive countryside, which many people do not associate with the waterway.
"On the Thames you can do everything, from rowing a boat to taking a cruiser for a week's holiday. The history of the Thames is fantastic. You've got Windsor Castle, Henley Regatta, Oxford, Hampton Court," he stated.
The expert added that people should not worry too much about planning their day out and instead use their instincts to have a good time.
Research from the British Marine Federation has recently found that the UK's leisure and small commercial marine industry is beginning to show signs of recovery, with confidence starting to return.
