Families heading to the Caribbean on holiday should make sure that they integrate with the locals to experience the true essence of travel to the area.
Nadine Hallak, spokesperson for Cheapflights.co.uk, recommended that people get information and advice from locals on where to eat, stay and visit, meaning they will get a more authentic trip.
The expert added that the break does not have to be expensive, as planning ahead can reduce travel costs and make it an affordable holiday.
She stated: "The joy of the Caribbean is the relaxation offered by its natural beauty and permeated in the island attitude by planning, you'll minimise any unnecessary stress and ensure you enjoy the area."
Being organised will also mean that people can travel around, see more of the area and make the most of it.
Families will also find the area very welcoming to children, with Ms Hallak adding that it has lots of all-inclusive resorts with kids clubs.
Her comments follow the release of predictions for the area this year, from the Caribbean Tourism Organization, which said that it expects tourism in the region to grow by up to three per cent.
