People considering taking their family on a trip this year could take them to a museum, which Rough Guide has shortlisted for an award recognising its accessibility.
Kate Steiner, head of audience research and advocacy at the Science Museum, said that the shortlisting is an honour and something which "delighted" all staff there.
"We strive to ensure that the needs of people with disabilities are taken into account when designing services, so that we create an inclusive culture where visitors can fully enjoy our collections, exhibitions and events," she stated.
The facility has been shortlisted for an accolade in the Best Family category section of the awards and could be an ideal place to take all the brood on a trip.
Attractions were whittled down by Rough Guide's expert reviewers and judging panel into four categories Best Family Venue, Best Active Venue, Best Heritage Venue and Best Free Venue.
More about family life.
