People trying to improve their family health should encourage their brood to have a go at a variety of sports, as there is one for everyone, according to an expert.
Helen Jenkins, a British triathlete and former world champion, said that some people are suited to individual sports, like running, whereas others thrive in a team environment.
"I think it is [about] finding one which they like and they are good at. There is going to be things that you are better at and if you are doing well at something, I think, in general, that is going to keep you doing it," she stated.
The expert added that people should try to fit activities in around their family life and attempt to have a go at sports that they enjoy watching on TV.
According to recent research by the Mars Refuel Drink Fund, British people love watching sport, but do not actually like getting involved as much.
More about family health.
