Parental advice: Families looking for 'eccentric' excursions

Families concerned with parental advice are looking to experience new things and are in search of more eccentric ways to spend their time, according to an expert.

Simon Tipple from Visit Worcestershire explained that modern families are keen to get out and about and experience out-of-the-ordinary events that are suitable for people of all ages and fulfilling for everyone.

"It's not the case that we'll put the TV on a bank holiday weekend, or go for a walk in a local park; they want something a bit more," he said, adding that parents are now looking to enjoy themselves to add quirkiness and passion to their lives, as well as entertaining the children.

Mr Tipple added that an upcoming event that may interest those concerned with family health and looking to rediscover 'the wacky British summer', that The Plum Festival in Worcestershire would be an ideal trip – running throughout August.

More about family health.
