This summer, families looking to take a trip or a 'staycation' have been told that South Devon could be the ideal destination for any budget.
Sarah Streeter, marketing manager for Visit South Devon, said the charming location is perfect for fans of camping, the sea and even peace and quiet for the times when parents just need some relaxation.
"There are a whole host of things to do in South Devon, no matter your age, budget or the experience you are looking for," she said.
Ms Streeter added that there are various food and drink offerings and for families, attraction-wise, Pennywell Farm, the Round Robin steam train and river boat, as well as Woodlands adventure park are all great days out.
According to research from motoring and leisure association CSMA Club, UK tourism is experiencing a boom in the numbers of Brits choosing to stay in the UK for their holidays, with a third (33 per cent) planning to spend this year's main holiday on home soil.
