Description

Candis is one of the top ten selling women’s monthly magazines in the UK and has more subscribers than any other women’s monthly title. Candis’ Marketing Department is responsible for the effective promotion and development of the Candis brand to new and existing subscriber audiences. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the role of the Marketing Executive will be to support the Marketing Manager in developing an exclusive and attractive package of ongoing benefits, month-by-month promotions and Candis Club holidays that ensure Candis continues to provide a compelling proposition as a leading national publication.

Responsibilities

  • To source and implement exclusive month-by-month offers for Candis magazine and www.candis.co.uk from nationally known consumer brands

    • To develop the Candis voucher programme in Candis magazine.

      • To source and occasionally to attend holidays for Club members and to analyse feedback from members in developing future holiday programmes in conjunction with the Marketing Manager

        • To work with the Marketing Manager and editorial team to source giveaways/competition prizes for Candis magazine and to improve the recognition of Candis within public relations agencies specifically relating to vouchers, competitions and giveaways

          • To maintain the smooth and effective running of Club holidays and membership benefits by liaising regularly with providers of these services

            • To work with the Website Marketing team to provide Candis Club members with access to benefits and offers online

              ·        To establish and develop a database of contacts relating to all promotional work

              ·        To ensure that all data on member activity from Club benefit, promotional an holiday providers is supplied to the IT department every month

              Individual Requirement

              ·        Likely to be of graduate calibre and/or possess a marketing related qualification with at least 2 years experience of working with a national brand, preferably in the consumer publishing sector

              ·        Ability to influence key decision makers representing national consumer brands

              ·        Able to generate brand value for Candis by working with and influencing key internal decision makers

              ·        Experience of representing a national brand in person to its consumers

              ·        Excellent oral and written communication skills for use both internally and externally

              ·        Experience of handling marketing-related data to promote brand development

              ·        Capable of meeting strict publishing deadlines and co-ordinating the creation & delivery of point of sale of promotional material

              ·        Experience of updating website content

              ·        Highly self motivated with a good teamwork ethic and excellent attention to detail

              Performance Measurement

               

              ·        Delivery of month-by month offers (for both magazine and www.candis.co.uk)

              ·        Growth in attendance volumes at member holidays and feedback from members

              ·        Delivery of monthly competitions, giveaways and discount vouchers

              ·        Growth in the volume of members using ongoing benefits, month-by-month promotions, discount vouchers and competitions/giveaways

              Salary scale

              Initially a 12-month contract working 3 days a week (21 hours) at £12k.
