We're free to dream of joys we'd share-of things
we'd like to do
Of waterfalls-and forests green, where I could bathe with you,
Our Bodies closed our arms entwined; we'd share such heavenly
bliss
Away from all our cares and woes-we'd revel in each kiss
The only eyes to share to share our joy-(and they would not mind)
Would be the creatures of the woods, the elves and fairies kind
Then while the tinkling water fell-our faces to caress
The Fairy Queen would smile with glee, and with her wand would
bless
The drops that round her feet did fall, so jewels they became
Like diamonds bright, and sapphires blue and rubies touched with
flame
From these she made your necklace Sue, and pendants for your ears
And ring and things, (and crown as well) to chase away your
tears.
As on these wonders you did gaze (too dazed to break the spell)
The spiders too joined in the fun - and wove a dress as well
So fine - so light, as gossamer, the like never seen
Except in dreams and fairy tales - a gown fit for a Queen
And on your feet were shoes of pearl, a gift from Neptune realm
Sailed from lands across the sea - with Cupid at the helm
For fragrance beyond all men's arts - to make the spell
complete
The butterflies and bees did mix the scent of flowers sweet
By mermaids would your hair be brushed, and through their magic
touch
They'd make it curl like never before - for waves are known to
such
For so it was when love first came, with Adam and his Eve
When simple things could fill men's hearts - before they
learned to grieve.
So God above - who made us all, an blessed us with His grace
Bids us all like children be, as each we find out place
In this world of many sins - we still must keep our wonder
And turn our backs on all that's wrong, which tears our lives
asunder
So read these words I pen with love, I'll make you understand
There is a world of fantasy - there is a fairyland
It lives in hearts like yours and mine, to bring each other peace
When times are hard we can escape, find pleasure in release
If we just think of humble things and see the best in all
I know you'll find that fairyland of gnomes and faints tall
To full your days, and bring your heart, to something you find
We need to keep in childish hearts, but rare in most mankind.
