Remember Errol by Sue Ormston

Ignore these things at your peril.
Don't be like daft old Errol.
He didn't go to see the doc
When he found a lump, such a shock.
Didn't want to find out,
Didn't want to know the worst.
Didn't want to hear 'the curse'.
He carried on in ignorance & fear.
So daft, 'specially as help was near.
Should have spoke to friend or Mum.
Should have to the doc have gone.
When pushed to go by a good mate,
Was only to find it was too late.
A simple op. with chemo too,
Could have kept him here with me and you.
So the moral of this tale you see
Is to check yourself, One, Two Three.
Then go off to see the doc.
He will listen, will not mock.
Go early, soon, hark to your woes and fears,
And you could still be here for many years.
Go see the doc, don't hesitate.
Don't leave it all far too late.

"a simple tale that just shows how important it is to know yourself, and go get things checked out"
