"I also have been receiving since 1970 and only ever won some sea monkeys, at least I think they came from you. They were in a battered and bruised parcel with no clue. A plastic submarine which my granddaughter filled with water and the contents of a packet. After a week we saw the monkeys. She took the 'tank' home to show mum, knocked it over and they all went through the floorboards. Aahh"

"I have been recieving Candis for over 40 years. It was just a sheet then, not a magazine as it is now. I won several of the prizes - a blanket, some towels and a silver half-dollar which I still have. I missed a few months when we moved, but when the canvasser came to the door, he arranged for me to get my same numbers again. Two years ago I won £50 worth of vouchers. I have been lucky. "

"I too have been a member for over 30 years and I remeber Bliss starting just after I had my second daughter who was only 1 lb 15 oz which was very small in 1979. Good luck to all the babies who benfit from Bliss. My daughter survived to eventually attend university and follow her chosen career as a radiographer. Won six teaspoons once. What a joy!!"

"Hi Flora like you I have been a member for a long time, 30 years for me and before that my mother subscribed, I took over her subscription in 1980 when I sadly lost her to Cancer, although very happy to support a wonderful cause I've noticed that the "long termers" lucky numbers are few and far between, one number usually appears in the 53 range perhaps we need an upgrade in our membership numbers, still good to hear of your and others good luck. "I was one of those delivery people..... I used to deliver in the Edgbaston area of Birmingham, back in 1970. It was called Cancer and Polio and consisted of just one folded sheet. An area manager would knock on doors to enlist members and then I would deliver the leaflet. Wish I could win one of the money prizes..."

"I also remember getting my magazine delivered over 25 years ago. When we moved house and forgot to tell the 'Candy Man', he tracked us down to our new address to make sure we didn't miss a copy. We have only ever won a set of saws but I love the magazine and read it cover to cover every month."

Although I've entered many of the competitions, my favourites being the crosswords, I've never been lucky enough to win anything, even in the lucky draw my membership number gets nowhere near.
