After a recent poll revealed Jamie Oliver as “the greatest celebrity chef of all time”, here at Candis we decided to hold our own, unofficial poll on the subject. And here’s who came out top…
Why we love her: She genuinely loves food – and isn’t shy about eating it. She has no shame about using butter, sugar, pasta or potatoes in her calorie-stuffed recipes. And let’s face it, her kitchen innuendos are really quite funny…

Why we love her: With her homespun philosophy, warmth, honesty and delicious yet simple recipes, no wonder Mary has earned the moniker of “nation’s favourite grandmother”. And unlike many reality TV stars, she simply refuses to change her courteous approach to win more viewers. Apparently she’s fond of the odd sherry too…
