Best-selling author Jodi Picoult has a staggering 14 million copies of her books in print worldwide, including My Sister’s Keeper, which was made into a Hollywood blockbuster in 2009, starring Cameron Diaz. The mum-of-three lives in New Hampshire with husband Timothy, whom she met while in college.

What would your perfect day be?
Sitting beside a pool in the Caribbean with my family.
What did you want to be when you were younger?
What super power would you like?
The ability to change other people’s minds.
What are you most proud of?
Raising three smart, kind, dedicated children who will make the world a better place.
What are you currently reading, watching and listening to?
I’m reading An ARC of Greg Iles’s next book – Natchez Burning; am watching Scandal on Netflex, and listening to Sara Bareilles – Radio on Pandora
What inspires you?

What would surprise people about you?
I absolutely, positively cannot stand flan [baked custard].
What is your most treasured possession?
An ancient Greek coin that my husband had made into a necklace. It has a picture of Athena on one side for wisdom, and Pegasus on the other for creativity.
Who would you like to be stranded on a desert island with?
My husband Tim, who could make a trap out of a coconut and a strand of hair, most likely. Failing that, Hugh Jackman. Just because.
What would you like to be better at?
