See Real Women at the Playhouse Theatre, London on Sunday 8 May.
Need inspiration for a great night out with the girls? Look no further – from the streetlights of Rhyl to the bright lights of the West End, get ready for real women, real stories and real laughter!
Following a rollercoaster journey worthy of any Brit flick, Real Women will have its London debut at the Playhouse Theatre on Sunday 8 May. The show, which began life in a ramshackle Community Centre in Llanrwst, Wales, will be brought to the capital for one night only, a remarkable testament to the real-life stories told by 13 inspirational women. Aged 21 to 73, these ordinary but extraordinary ladies will take to the West End to share the best (and the worst!) of being blessed with XX chromosomes.
Uniting women of all ages, shapes and sizes, Real Women is a no-holds-barred exposé of the modern British woman. The cast share their frank, funny, and sometimes moving and risqué experiences – baring their souls on stage.
Their real-life stories will resonate with every woman – from coffee mornings to diets, the menopause and getting old disgracefully.
The cast of Real Women includes a nurse, a teacher, a housewife, a financial adviser, a hairdresser and a medical receptionist – all of whom celebrate womanhood. Real Women proves laughter really is the best medicine, and the perfect recipe for a great night out.
The Real Women are: Sue Holt, Rhian Hughes, Laura Jackson, Lynne Jones, Ffion Jones, Maggie Jones, Anna-Marie Munro, Joy Ostle, Nia Roberts, Nia Rowlands, Yvonne Townley, Anne Webb and Melissa Wilson.
