Reduce your risk of kidney stones

Just a few hours of light exercise a week – eg three hours of gentle walking (up to three miles per hour) – could reduce your risk of kidney stones by a third, according to a study of 84,000 postmenopausal women at the University of Washington, USA. Even easy exercise changes the way the body handles sodium and calcium to protect against stone formation, say the researchers.
