Salter EK2613 Go Healthy Electric Soup Maker

Soup is very good for you! It’s nutricious, packed with fibre, and fills you up with fewer calories. We put the Salter EK2613 Go Healthy Electric Soup Maker to the test to make low-salt, homemade soup from scratch in only 30 minutes.



The unit is tall and sleek with a generous 1.6 litre capacity, it’s the ideal size for most kitchen worktops. There are four settings to choose from; chunky or smooth soup,  blended smoothies and a useful auto-cleaning feature. Safety wise, there’s a safety cut-out system and overfill sensor, to give you peace of mind once you’ve prepared your soup of the day.

It’s simple to use, add roughly chopped vegetables, cold stock and seasoning, and away you go! Included is a healthy recipe book with lots of ideas and there’s no limit to the flavours you can produce by experimenting with combinations of veg and adding delicious herbs and spices. Homemade soup is a brilliant way to get plenty of veggies into your diet, also good for fussy eaters and little ones who don’t normally eat many vegetables.

We’ve been using the soup maker at Candis head office on a daily basis for over two months, taking it in turns to create tasty, healthy soups, our lunches have never been so healthy and tasty!!! Our favourite soups are vegetable and tomato (with a few spoonfuls of red lentils for added texture), leek and potato, and cream of vegetable with extra broccoli, it’s deliciously creamy!

Top tip – if particles stick to the bottom, add warm soapy water and leave overnight. Wipe away the residue and you’re good to go.
