Win tickets to Scotland’s favourite creative craft show
Creative Stitches & Hobbycrafts, one of Scotland’s favourite creative craft shows is back with a brand new name and exciting new features. The Stitching, Sewing & Quilting Show is a must visit for knitters, stitchers, dressmakers and quilters alike. The much loved Hobbycrafts show will be running alongside from 5-8 March 2015 at SECC Glasgow. Both shows offer endless supplies, new product launches, demonstrations and workshops designed to encourage and inspire.
The new quilting element to the show has been inspired by an outstanding collection of pieces from Quilters groups and guilds across England and Scotland. The Quilters’ Guild Contemporary Quilt Group will proudly display a collection of work by its members titled Fractured Images. In this display, a variety of styles, techniques and materials have been used to interpret the theme creating broken down or snippets of images. Woolcraft, Stone is a piece created by a group of Creative Journey Students from Dalry, Edinburgh inspired by a poem with students interpreting the words into stunning quilt designs. Scotland’s Quilting group, the Paisley Patchers will also be presenting an exhibition featuring an impressive selection of traditional and contemporary quilts.
With everything from quilting, sewing and knitting to papercraft, cardmaking and jewellery making, visitors will find all the latest innovations from the world of creative craft. What’s more, all visitors can enjoy a free programme of Quick & Easy Workshops, Talks and Demonstrations each day of the show.
