3 ways to healthier eyes

1. Wear sunglasses… Sunlight speeds up the development of cataracts and macular degeneration (the UK’s leading cause of blindness). When you’re choosing new shades, look for the CE mark together with the British Standard BSEN 1836:1997.
2. Quit smoking… It causes 10% of cases of macular degeneration.
3. Eat a rainbow… Eye healthy vitamins A, C and E are plentiful in blueberries, oranges, kiwis, grapefruit, dried apricots, tomatoes, peppers, raw carrots, kale, spinach, peas and green beans. Zeaxanthin, another eye-essential ingredient, can be found in orange peppers, broccoli, sweetcorn, spinach, tangerines, oranges, and eggs.
