Bacon and hazelnut sprouts
The perfect side dish for your Christmas Day Feast…
Ready in 20 minutes
900g (2lb) Brussels sprouts, peeled
2 tbsp sunflower oil
125g (4½oz) streaky bacon
50g (2oz) hazelnuts, roughly chopped
3 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
1. Cook the sprouts in lightly salted water for 8 minutes until just tender.
2. Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the bacon and cook for 3 minutes, add the hazelnuts and fry for 2 minutes until the bacon is crisp.
3. Add the drained sprouts, season with black pepper and combine well. Sprinkle over the parsley and serve.
