Breakfast smoothie

Serves 1
Preparation time: 5 minutes

25g (1oz) cooked beetroot

2 tbsp oats

100g (3½oz) blueberries

150ml (5fl oz) fat free natural yoghurt

100ml (3½oz) apple juice

Method

  1. Place all ingredients in a liquidiser and process until smooth and then pour into a tall glass to serve.

Tip: Use other soft fruit or orange juice instead of apple juice. You could also try replacing the oats with wheatgerm. For extra sweetness, try adding 1 tsp clear honey.
