Blackberry And Pear Crumbles
Serve immediately with low fat custard or very low fat natural yoghurt…

2 pears, peeled, cored and cut into bite-sized pieces
400g (14oz) blackberries
Artificial sweetener, to taste
For the crumble topping
50g (2oz) self-raising flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp allspice
4 tbsp low-fat spread
2 tbsp soft brown sugar
Canned low fat custard (optional)
Very low fat natural yoghurt (optional)
- Place the fruit and sweetener in a large bowl, add 4 tbsp water and mix well. Divide between 4 individual ovenproof pie dishes (or you can use a single large one).
- Preheat the oven to 190C/R5. Sift, the flour, cinnamon and allspice into a bowl and rub in the spread with your fingers until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Spoon this over the fruit, then sprinkle with the sugar. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until bubbling and the topping is crisp and golden.
- Serve immediately with low fat custard or very low fat natural yoghurt, if wished.
