SPLENDA® Brown Sugar Blend Chocolate Pear & Almond Tarts



1 400ml can of pear halves, drained
54 (5 cm) mini tart shells, precooked for 10 minutes
125 ml milk
125 ml single cream
1 egg
1 tsp almond extract
60g flour
60g ground almonds
60g SPLENDA® Brown Sugar Blend
75g chocolate chips


1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)

2. Dry pear halves and cut into thin slices.

3. Place two slices of pear in each precooked tart shell and set aside.

4. In a bowl, whisk eggs then add milk, cream and almond extract until blended: pour mixture into tart shells until almost filled.

5. In another bowl, mix SPLENDA® Brown Sugar Blend, flour, ground almonds and chocolate chips. Spoon mixture on tarts and bake for 20-25 min
