SPLENDA® Brown Sugar Blend Mulled Wine

Variations of this drink can be found around the world, from Sweden to Germany, from Moldova to Mexico. It’s a warming drink, perfect at a cold Bonfire Night party.


Mulled wine

1 bottle dry red wine
6 tablespoons Splenda Brown Sugar Blend
125ml brandy
2 cinnamon sticks
6 whole cloves
Pinch of grated nutmeg
2 oranges, thinly sliced
1 lemon, thinly sliced


1. Place the red wine, sweetener, brandy, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and citrus fruit into a large, heavy pan.

2. Add 125ml of water, place on a low heat and gently bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally to bruise the fruit.

3. Once the sweetener is dissolved and the mixture fragrant, remove from the heat and serve.
