Mini gingerbread houses

To make our oh-so-cute gingerbread houses featured in the December issue of Candis you’ll need to download this template.

You should have enough dough to make 10 houses.

Ingredients:

For the gingerbread

100g unsalted butter
75g treacle
75g golden syrup
75g dark brown soft sugar
450g plain flour, plus extra for dusting
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1⁄2 tsp ground cloves
2 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground cinnamon
pinch of ground nutmeg
pinch of ground black pepper
1 large egg yolk
1 tbsp grated fresh ginger

For the assembly and decoration

500g All-in-one Royal Icing
4-5 tbsp water
sprinkles and white sanding sugar
