Shortcrust pastry for our Beef Keema pie

300g plain flour

1/2 tsp salt

75g chilled diced butter

75g chilled diced lard

5-6 tbsp chilled water

Method

Tip flour and salt into a large mixing bowl, and add the butter and lard. Rub together until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Stir in the water and bring the pastry together with your hands. Shape into a ball, wrap and chill for 1 hour or until needed.
