Seekh kebabs
These make a great starter or as a delicious filling for a wrap
Serves: 4
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 10-12 minutes
Equipment needed: 8 skewers
Ingredients
400g Lamb mince
½ an onion, minced
¼ tsp garam masala
¼ tsp red chilli powder
¼ tsp turmeric
½ tsp ginger, finely minced
1 tbsp coriander leaves, minced
½ a whisked egg
1 tsp cornflour
1 green chilli, minced
¼ tsp lemon juice
salt to taste
1 tbsp butter, melted
Method
1 Combine the minced lamb with all the other ingredients and mix well.
2 Add the seasoning to your taste.
3 Divide the mixture into eight small portions, then roll each portion on to the skewers.
4 Cover each kebab with the melted butter and grill until cooked through.
5 Serve hot with lemon and onion.
