Tomato and borlotti bean soup

1 x 400g (14oz) can tomatoes
1 x 410g (14oz) can borlotti beans, rinsed
1 red onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
300ml (10fl oz) water
1.Gently fry 1 crushed clove of garlic with 1 finely chopped red onion in a little olive oil until soft, but not browned.
2. Put the can tomatoes and juice and the onion and garlic in a blender with about half 1 x 410g can (rinsed) borlotti beans. Whizz until almost smooth and return to the pan.
3. Add the water and the remaining borlotti beans and heat until boiling. Serve with warm wholemeal bread.
