Should slimming clubs be available on the NHS?
With obesity reaching epidemic levels in the UK – two in three adults are now classed as being overweight or obese – should the NHS be doing more to help us watch our weight? With excess pounds proven to increase the risks of heart attacks, strokes and diabetes should more be done to help people manage their calorie intake and reduce their waistlines or does this smack of a nanny state interfering in people’s lives?
