Used alone, it colour-corrects eyelids for a natural, even look, making them appear instantly brighter.

The claim: A colour-free base to wear under lipstick that improves the appearance of applied

lip products.

In practice: This looks like a lipstick and is applied like one too. Very moisturising but not greasy, testers found it helped smooth lips, creating a good base for lipsticks and glosses as colour goes on

evenly. It may be more beneficial for those with dry lips and for use under regular lipsticks and lipglosses rather than under long-wear lip colours.

The result: Lips feel softened and smoothed and lip colour has a vibrant, even finish.

In practice: Proving you don’t need to spend a fortune on cosmetics, this clear gel glides on easily to give a matte finish that all foundations adore – keeping make-up in place all day.
