Look naturally bronzed…

Beauty Editor JUSTINE BRENNAN reveals the latest tips, tricks and new products vying for your attention this month…

Yes you can look naturally bronzed

To avoid that ‘I’ve been Tango-d’ look, opt for a golden glow instead. Here’s how to get a sun-kissed look…

1. Apply a foundation or tinted moisturiser that is one shade darker than your natural colour to give you a lightly tanned base. Blend past your jawline and on to your neck, and allow it to soak into the skin fully before you apply powder.

2. Choose a matte bronzer that’s two shades darker than your skin tone and apply a light dusting in soft circular motions over areas where you’d naturally get the sun. Start at the forehead, down on to the temples, on to and along the cheekbones and finish at the jawline. Blend on to neck then dust over nose.

3. Add definition by applying another layer of bronzer to the apples of your cheeks and blend upwards towards the temples. If you’ve applied too much don’t panic, just pat off the excess with a cotton pad.

4. If you’re planning on showing off your bare arms and décolletage, dust some of the bronzer over these areas as well so that your skin tone is evenly matched, and then finish with a shimmery powder on shoulders, collarbones, cheekbones and brow bones. Now you’re ready to get up and glow!
