There is only one month to go now until The Whitehaven festival and we have a pair of tickets to give away. Lucky readers have the chance to win a pair of tickets (worth up to £39.99) to the Whitehaven Festival in Cumbria from the 21 – 23 June 2013. The lucky winner will be get to see headline acts: McFly, The Vamps, James Bourne of Busted, Slade and Les Mckeown’s Legendary Bay City Rollers. The festival will also be showcasing the ‘Best of British’ with culinary delights from some of the UK’s best known chefs; Jean Christophe Novelli, Rosemary Shrager, and Coronation Street, Sean Wilson (aka Martin Platt), with special appearances from music mogul and the Festival’s good friend Louis Walsh!
Festival CEO and founder Gerard Richardson MBE, who first established the festival in 1999 said:
“Last Year’s extravaganza attracted 330,000 separate visits to the harbour side in Whitehaven, and pumped £4m into the local economy. The festival is run by volunteers and as a result we have been able to bring more than £35m into the Whitehaven areas since the festival’s inception. Being such a big part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations means 2012 is on track to being a landmark event and possibly one of the biggest celebrations outside of London as well as one of the big highlights in the UK festival calendar.”
